Spotlight: Ford Leadership Scholars
Most of our clients are individuals seeking our services. However, sometimes we get the chance to interact with even more people though through workshops.
We love our time with our one-on-one clients and are thrilled when we get to have those interactions at workshops with more people. Last year, we were invited by the Texas FFA Association Ford Leadership Scholars to present a workshop on confidently corresponding across a variety of audiences.
Tyler Koch, Texas FFA director of leadership development, reached out to SpeakEasy to help create a customized curriculum to equip the scholars with professional networking knowledge and correspondence skills.
“When I knew that there were specific skill sets that our participants needed that could only be accommodated by a customized curriculum with our specific objectives in mind,” Tyler said, “I knew that SpeakEasy was the place to call!”
In the customized workshop created by SpeakEasy, Allison shared with the scholars professional writing and correspondence skills, how to maintain an effective social media profile and the proper way to compose a thank you note.
“These were much needed skills for our group,” Tyler said. “SpeakEasy delivered a quality training that met our exact specifications.”
Creating a customized workshop for this organization was a lot of fun for SpeakEasy, but what we enjoyed the most was being able to interact with the scholars and see them grow.
“SpeakEasy’s trainers and content faciliatators brought a level of expertise coupled with engagement,” Tyler said, “which allowed the students to absorb a high-level of material with the understanding of how to implement it.”
“The participants’ knowledge, skills, and abilities greatly improved in a very short amount of time.”
During all of our workshops and trainings, we strive to create an energetic and engaging environment for all of our clients. We genuinely want to share our expertise with clients in a way that they not only enjoy but grow from as well.
“There was such a strong level of comfort with the facilitator’s content mastery that the participants could feel at ease contributing to the conversation and taking part in the activities,” Tyler said, “even though it was completely new to them!”
We enjoyed our time with the Texas FFA Ford Leadership Scholars and are eager to see how they make a difference in their communities across the state! We consider ourselves lucky to have been able to be a part of their journey.
